Booking, cancellation and studio policies

These policies apply to memberships, class packs and drop-in classes, and form part of your agreement with us.

The short version. Cancel free of charge up to twelve hours before class. Inside twelve hours the credit is used. We do not admit anyone more than five minutes after class starts. Grip socks are required.

1. Booking

Book through your account. A class is confirmed only when you receive an in-app confirmation and an email.

2. Cancellation window

You may cancel a booked class free of charge up to twelve hours before the class start time. Cancellations inside twelve hours forfeit the credit. This applies to memberships, packs and drop-ins. We do not charge a separate cash fee on top of the forfeited credit.

3. Waitlist

If a class is full you may join the waitlist. If a spot opens more than twelve hours out you will be notified and auto-booked, subject to your notification settings. Inside twelve hours we will only add you if you have opted in for last-minute waitlist notifications. If you are auto-booked and cannot attend, cancel at once; the twelve hour rule applies.

4. Late arrival

For your safety and to avoid disrupting the class, we do not admit anyone more than five minutes after the class start time. Your spot may be released to the waitlist at that point, and the credit is used.

5. No-shows

A booked class you do not attend and did not cancel is a no-show, and the credit is used. Repeated no-shows, meaning three within any ninety day window, may lead to a temporary booking restriction. We will contact you first.

6. Reformer setup and equipment

You must arrive on time to receive the safety briefing at your first class, must set springs and straps as instructed, must not adjust another participant's equipment, and must let the instructor know if you have a concern about the equipment during class.

7. What to wear

Grip socks are required. We sell them at the studio. Do not wear jewellery that can catch in springs. Long hair should be tied back.

8. What to bring, what to leave

Cubbies and hooks are available for personal items. Do not leave valuables in the studio unattended. We are not the bailee of your belongings, and to the fullest extent allowed by law Pilates Social Club is not responsible for loss, damage or theft of items brought into the studio. Nothing in this paragraph releases us from liability for our own negligence in the care of the studio spaces themselves.

9. Guests

Guests may not enter the class area. They are welcome in reception and, once class ends, on the studio floor to meet you.

10. Age

In-studio participation is for ages 16 and over. Those aged 16 and 17 require a parent or legal guardian to sign the Participation agreement in person before their first class, and must attend classes in a manner consistent with any conditions the guardian sets.

11. Pregnancy, injury and medical conditions

Please tell us before class begins and we will do our best to accommodate you. This is not a reason to be denied service. We may ask for a physician's clearance in specific circumstances such as an active injury, a recent surgery or a high-risk pregnancy, consistent with the New York State and New York City Human Rights Laws and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

12. Freezes

Membership freezes are governed by the Membership agreement. Pack expiry dates are set at purchase and do not freeze; see the Class pack terms.

13. Suspension for safety or conduct

We may cancel a booking, refuse entry, or suspend or terminate any account for behaviour that materially breaches these policies or the Community conduct and anti-harassment policy, or that poses a safety risk to others. Except where the risk requires immediate action, we will give you an opportunity to be heard, and a pro-rata refund of unused prepaid credits for the affected month or pack.
