Terms of use

These terms cover your use of our website. Separate documents cover the things you buy from us and the things you do in the studio.

1. Who we are

These terms are between you and Pilates Social Club LLC, a New York limited liability company. Our studios are at 91 Washington Street, New York NY 10006 and 201 East 56th Street, New York NY 10022.

2. What this page covers

When you buy a class pack or a drop-in class, the linked document for that product also applies, and if there is any conflict the product-specific document controls for that purchase.

3. Age

You must be 18 or older to create an account, buy a product, or agree to any contract on this site. In-studio participation is limited to age 16 and over, and 16 or 17 year olds require a parent or legal guardian to sign the Participation agreement in person before their first class.

4. Your account

You are responsible for anything done under your account. Give us accurate information at signup and keep it current. Do not share your login. Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised use.

5. What you can and cannot do

You may use the site to browse our services, buy them for your own use, book classes and manage your account. You may not attempt to interfere with the site, use scraping or automated tools, resell or transfer credits, misuse promotional codes, impersonate another person, use the site to send unlawful or harassing material, or attempt to reverse engineer any part of it.

6. Content on the site

All text, images, video, schedules, class descriptions, brand names and logos on the site are owned by or licensed to Pilates Social Club. You may not copy, reproduce, adapt or redistribute any of it except for your personal, non-commercial use of the account features we provide.

7. What you submit

If you post a review, tag us, send us a photo or otherwise submit content to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that content in connection with the studio and its promotion, subject to the Photography, recording and media policy. You represent that you own or have the right to submit the content.

8. Third-party services

The site uses third-party services for payments, scheduling, email, analytics, video and chat. Their terms and privacy notices apply to their processing, and we identify them in the Privacy notice.

9. Changes

We may change the site, our services, our prices going forward, and these terms. We will post the current version here. Continued use of the site after a change to these terms means you accept the change.

10. Nothing here is medical advice

The site and our marketing describe fitness services. Nothing on the site is medical, physical therapy, chiropractic, nutritional or psychological advice. Class descriptions do not diagnose or treat any condition, do not promise weight loss, injury recovery, cosmetic results or any specific fitness outcome, and do not replace medical advice. Speak with a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise programme, particularly if you have or may have a health condition, are pregnant or postpartum, or are recovering from an injury or surgery.

11. The website itself

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the website is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses.

12. Governing law and where a dispute is heard

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You and Pilates Social Club agree that any dispute arising from your use of the website will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts sitting in New York County, New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. This paragraph does not limit your right to bring a complaint to a government agency, or to bring an action in a small claims court that has jurisdiction, and it does not apply where consumer protection law fixes venue elsewhere.

13. No class actions

You and Pilates Social Club each agree that any dispute will be brought in an individual capacity and not as part of a class action, collective action or representative action, to the extent permitted by New York and federal law. This paragraph does not restrict your right to make a complaint to a government agency.
